    Rare Steakhouse on the Piazza

    October 8, 2015

Just moving to Greenville is proving to be an enlightening culinary journey.  Already thoroughly enjoying my first upscale steakhouse in Greenville, Rare Steakhouse on the Piazza serves delectable cuts of steaks.  Offering filet mignon, strip, rib-eye and a 40 oz porterhouse (enough for two people), steaks are cooked to guests desired done-ness..  The porterhouse satisfies both the filet mignon and the strip fans. Sliced before it is brought to the table, our porterhouse was cooked to perfection.  With a slight grill flavor with a peppercorn crust rub, it was absolutely delicious.  Sides are available a la carte, which the mashed potatoes were a perfect accompaniment to our steak.  Traditional or…

    Cheese in a new product….

    October 8, 2015

This is a product I have never seen before..It is (5) 0.7 oz servings of parmigiana Reggiao cheese in cubes.  All you have to do is shred it, slice it or eat whole.  This is a perfect portion for one person.  So neat. These were delicious shredded over spaghetti….easy meal for cooking in the trailer.

    The Vinings Fish Company

    April 28, 2012

The Vinings Fish Company is an above average dining experience.  As a foodie, I can appreciate their excellent food, prompt service and comfortable atmosphere. Upon our Friday evening arrival, we were courteously greeted and promptly seated. Although I had made reservation for 7 PM, the evening crowd had not yet arrived; however, it eventually did.  I wish I had made reservations for their couple’s veranda, outside.  Very romantic and overlooking the Vinings Jubilee shopping area, weather was perfect for outside dining.  Nevertheless, our interior booth was just fine.  Small accessories exemplified the nautical theme for the restaurant, including digital monitors replicating an aquarium. The menu offers hot appetizers as well…

    Gel Pro Mats

    July 19, 2011

About a year ago, when my wonderful husband so professionally installed our new kitchen hardwood flooring, I knew it was time to invest in some good work mats.  After trying several different fabric style brands, I broke down and INVESTED in the Gel Pro mats.  Many of you may have heard of them and are well aware of their price tag.  I was skeptical but I purchased them from my local Bed, Bath and Beyond.  These mats truly work.  They are will not prevent tired feet, but they will prevent your lower back from aching when you are working in the kitchen for several hours.  I do not regret the…

Homemade Goodness at Stilesboro Biscuit house

    July 11, 2011

Good old Southern hospitality is what you will find at Stilesboro Biscuits. Located only 10 minutes from the Paulding/Cobb County line, owner Lynn has been serving up some of the best homemade biscuits for 17 years. Her vivacious charm will welcome you into her quaint, small establishment; however, don’t let the size of her restaurant fool you—it is full of warm, friendly faces as countless regulars call her by name. Biscuits can be adorned with sausage, bacon, grits, chicken, steak, egg, cheese or gravy. Lynn uses her German grandmother’s recipe for warm cinnamon rolls, which are huge and delicious. Grab a sweet tea, soft drink, coffee or milk while you…
