Cocktail Crawl in Greenville, South Carolina

***This is a sponsored post.

Greenville, South Carolina has been ranked as one the fastest growing culinary destinations in the United States, but what about all the great libations and mixologist working at the many restaurants in the area?  These masters of mixology are creating some of the best cocktails and I am going to tell you about five of my favorites.

First and foremost, if taking a cocktail tour of Greenville, make sure to make driving arrangements in advance.

Lowcountry Valet and Shuttle CoLowcountry Valet and Shuttle Co would be happy to escort you, or a group to whichever delicious destinations you choose, without the worry of being arrested or endangering other drivers.  With various vehicles and price points, your cocktail crawl will be a hit.  Check out their website here: Lowcountry Valet and Shuttle Co.

5. Dark Corner Distillary

Our first stop is in downtown Greenville, on Main St.  at Dark Corner Distillery, where guest can sample six spirits from a complimentary shot glass, with the purchase of the $7 sampler.

Dark Corner DistilleryDark Corner Distillery is located at 14 South Main St Greenville, South Carolina

Named after the upper western corner of Greenville County, which was known for illegal moonshine over 175 years ago, Dark Corner’s creations are made from local grains and ingredients.  Tasting includes moonshine, aged whiskey, gin, and absinthe.  Browse their gift shop for unique mixers and great gift ideas.

Iron Hill Brewery Bourbon Blossom

4. Iron Hill Brewery

For a great craft cocktail fix, I head to Iron Hill Brewery.  Of course, they have an incredible craft beer selection, however, I prefer liquor and enjoy their Bourbon Blossom, made with Four Roses Bourbon.  All their specialty drinks are made with premium spirits, include the Raspberry Lemonade with Tito’s vodka.

Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere during happy hour, Monday through Friday, 5 PM to 7 PM.

3. UP on the Roof

Want some downtown scenery during your cocktail tour of Greenville?  Stop at Up On the Roof and enjoy a refreshing Reedy Punch.  Named after the Reedy River which runs through downtown Greenville, the Reedy Punch includes Deep Eddy Peach Vodka, cucumber vodka, lime juice, cucumber water, tonic syrup, mint simple syrup, and lavender bitters.

Very light and refreshing, especially on a warm summer evening while enjoying the view.

By the way, Food Network voted Up On the Roof as best restaurant in Greenville with a view.  Make sure to try the Fried Chicken Lettuce Wraps off the “Bar Bite” menu.  This is a must for any foodie tour.

Tin Lizzy Cantina Margarita

2. Tin Lizzy’s Cantina

Besides great tacos, Tin Lizzy’s Cantina has the best margarita in Greenville, with their signature Fall Off the House Margarita.  It is made with Dulce Vida, a 100 proof tequila, Agavero orange liqueur and sour mix. These drinks are so good, they will only serve two per customer.

Originally opened in Atlanta, their popular casual, flex-mex dining style has allowed them to expand into the South Carolina area.

But make sure to grab a fried chicken taco.  Their menu includes a wide variety of “make your own” taco selections – enough to satisfy anyone.

1. Victoria Valley Vineyards

Although I like craft cocktails, I also enjoy a good glass of wine and my favorite wine in the Upstate has to be Victoria Valley Vineyards White Merlot.

Vicitoria Vally Vineyards 2017 White Merlot

Both the 2016 and 2017 White Merlot varietals were delicate semi-sweet roses with a hint of strawberries and cherry, with a crisp, refreshing finish.

Sit on the tranquil patio, a bottle of wine and their incredible Turkey and Cheddar Panini are a combination you will want to enjoy repeatedly.

With a picturesque vineyard landscape, it is a great way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon.

They have a lunch  menu available from open till 3 PM.  Their small plates and desserts are served until closing.

Trying my top 5 Greenville Cocktail spots in one day maybe a challenge.  Make sure to eat along the way and do not go overboard at any one stop.

Make sure to book your trip with Lowcountry Valet and Shuttle Co in advance.
