Quick Pasta Cream Sauce
Flexible cream sauce for any pasta. Paired with a lean protein, such as chicken, this is a delicious, weeknight meal.

- 1 T. Olive Oil
- 1 Shallot chopped or 2 green onions chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic minced
- 3 T. roasted red peppers jarred
- 1 1/2 - 2 cups half and half
- Pinch of red pepper flakes
- 1 t. sweet paprika
- salt and pepper
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- use pasta water to thin sauce
Saute olive oil, shallot, garlic and peppers in pan.
Add half and half, stir
add red pepper flakes, salt and pepper, paprika
Gently stir in mozzarella cheese
slowly cook on lowest heat
simmer but do not boil
use pasta water to thin sauce
garnish with fresh basil
