I developed my blog to share my passion for flavorful cooking and agriculture.
Growing up in a home that always sat down for dinner, TOGETHER; I learned the multi-generational skills of what it takes to be a good, southern home cook from my mother and grandmothers.
FOR A YEAR, I successful made every evening meal without repeating a single recipe.
Relocating to the mountainous region of South Carolina with my husband, Doug, I have developed an interest in homesteading.
Surrounded by local farms, community supported gardens and an emphasis on local food production, propelled my blog to focus on the vitality of “good food” and healthy eating.
My husband’s horticulture background has been an asset while I am honing my gardening skills.
Working to expand my freelance writing career, of which my interest include, horticulture, camping and hiking. In our 3rd year of professional barbecue competition, my husband and I are striving for a Grand Championship as, Smokin J’s Barbeque.
